Find The Best Caulfield Cup Odds In 2011!

The burning question for everyone is always the same every year, where can I find the best Caulfield Cup odds?

So often the joy of winning can be soured slightly with the realisation the odds you had were vastly inferior to the odds you could have picked up elsewhere.

Well it’s for that exact reason that online bookmaker Luxbet was born.

The Tabcorp owned company has odds which are guaranteed to be better than all three TOTE’s.

So no more complaining that NSW has a better deal or saying ‘if only’ I was in Queensland, the fact is the best odds are available for everyone across the country with ease at Luxbet.

The Caulfield Cup can be a particularly lucrative one for the astute punter with betting markets always showing a great range of value on both the favourites and roughies deeper in the market.

This is for a range of reasons, not least of which being the sheer talent in the race.

Australian Group 1’s are always competitive but the Caulfield Cup is one of those races in its own special league.

It sits with the likes of the Melbourne Cup, Cox Plate and Golden Slipper, races where only the very best can so much as enter, let alone win.

This is compounded with the amount of overseas interest in the race every year.

The kiwi’s flood across the ditch for their chance and with strong staying blood in their breeding ranks they usually perform well.

It’s the same story for the Europeans who are well known for their premiere staying blood.

They really fancy themselves in our longer distance races and their presence in the Caulfield Cup always makes the spectacle even more enthralling.

Bookies often have a hard time lining up the form from these runners with horses using a huge range of different lead in runs.

This gives you the opportunity to spot something the bookies might miss and lets you keep up a good chance at well over the odds.

Not every horse can be a favourite so the odds are their if you’re willing to do your homework.

In the end though what does this all mean for you? Well it simply means start looking now.

Early Caulfield Cup nominations will be known very soon so why not follow a few now and chart the progress leading into October.

You may be surprised to find them at great odds when the final fields are released and that puts you in a far better position to make an accurate call.

While the 2011 Caulfield Cup itself is still a while off that doesn’t mean you can’t start to get ready with an account at Luxbet.

All you need to do is create a new account using the code BONUSBET and you’ll get a free bet equal to your first deposit.

This can be worth up to $400 so there’s never been a better time to get yourself on board with Australia’s fastest growing bookmaker today!

2012 Caulfield Cup – Betting Odds

The 2012 Caulfield Cup is due to run at Caulfield Racecourse on Saturday October 20, 2012, and betting odds have now been released for the race.

bookmaker.com.au has placed Green Moon as the favourite to win the 2012 Caulfield Cup, with the six-year-old currently paying $14.

The Montjeu entire has impressed since arriving in Australia last year from Great Britain, showing his true talent  during last year’s spring racing carnival.

Green Moon won the Group 3 Newcastle Gold Cup last spring before placing second behind Southern Speed in the Caulfield Cup.

He then went on to place a disappointing 12th in The Lexus Stakes and failed to make the Melbourne Cup field.

Green Moon has had just one start this year, winning the Group 2 Blamey Stakes by a length at Flemington on March 10.

He has won five of his 15 race starts and has earned more than $700,000 in prize money during his horse racing career.

Mawingo is currently second favourite to win the 2012 Caulfield Cup at bookmaker.com.au at $19, while there are five horses paying $21 on the third line of betting.

These include Dunaden, Fat Al, Gatewood, Quest For Peace and Southern Speed.

Be sure to open a bookmaker.com.au account in time for the 2012 Caulfield Cup now.

2012 Caulfield Cup Hopefuls Head Underwood Stakes Field

The Group 1 Underwood Stakes (1800m), to be race this Saturday at Caulfield, will have a major impact on 2012 Caulfied Cup odds.

Twelve of the fourteen runners in the $400,000 Underwood Stakes are nominated for the 2012 Caulfield Cup meaning that the Caulfield Cup picture should be a lot clearer after this Saturday.

However, the winner of the Underwood Stakes is definitely not a certainty to win the 2012 Caulfield Cup as no horse has done the double since Mummify in 2003.

Equal Caulfield Cup second favourites Manighar and Southern Speed will lock horns once again in the Underwood Stakes.

Southern Speed defeated Manighar by a nose to win the Makybe Diva Stakes (1600m) and avenge her loss to the seven-year-old gelding by the same margin in the 2012 Australian Cup.

Manighar is unlikely to contest the Caulfield Cup but is still priced at $16 in the Caulfield Cup betting market at bookmaker.com.au alongside Southern Speed.

December Draw struggled in the Makybe Diva Stakes but trainer Mark Kavanagh is hoping the import will return to form in the Underwood Stakes.

The seven-year-old gelding won the Naturalism Stakes (2000m) on Underwood Stakes day last year, a result that confirmed him as Caulfield Cup favourite.

December Draw is currently priced at $21 in 2012 Caulfield Cup betting markets but that price will shorten dramatically if he wins on Saturday.

2010 Melbourne Cup runner-up Maluckyday will attempt to qualify for the 2012 Caulfield Cup by winning the Underwood Stakes.

The lightly raced six-year-old finished a solid eighth in his return to racing in the Memsie Stakes (1400m) and he does have a decent second-up record.

The Hawkes family-trained gelding is at odds of $26 in the 2012 Caulfield Cup betting market at bookmaker.com.au.

2012 Sydney Cup winner Niwot is another Caulfield Cup contender that will take part in the Underwood Stakes.

The son of Galileo will likely be outpaced in this race but is on target for another crack at the Caulfield Cup and Melbourne Cup.

December Draw Firms As 2012 Caulfield Cup Favourite

December Draw has firmed as favourite for the 2012 Caulfield Cup that will be run at Caulfield Racecourse on the on October 20.

The Mark Kavanagh-trained import is now priced at $9 in the 2012 Caulfield Cup betting market at bookmaker.com.au.

The seven-year-old will have his final preparatory run in the Group 1 Turnbull Stakes (2000m) this Saturday; a race that he won last year before finishing last in the Caulfield Cup.

Also running in the Turnbull Stakes will be 2011 Caulfield Cup winner Southern Speed.

The daughter of Southern Image is now priced at odds of $12 to become the first mare to win the Caulfield Cup twice.

Another Caulfield Cup contender taking part in the Turnbull Stakes this Saturday is Lloyd Williams-owned Green Moon.

The Montjeu stallion has been in terrific form this campaign and is nominated for both the Caulfield Cup and Cox Plate.

Connections will decide which races he targets after the Turnbull Stakes.

The six-year-old is currently priced at $13 in the 2012 Caulfield Cup betting market at bookmaker.com.au but will his odds will be much shorter if connections announce him as a definite starter.

The big market mover in the Caulfield Cup betting market has been 2010 Melbourne Cup winner Americain.

Racing Victoria’s international scout Leigh Jordon confirmed this morning that he had spoken to leading French trainer Alain de Royer Dupre who told him he was leaning towards running Americain in the world’s richest 2400m handicap race.

The Dynaformer eight-year-old had his Caulfield Cup quote slashed from $51 to $16.

Americain is joined on $16 by fellow international galloper Jakkalberry.

The Australian-owned Italian-trained stayer arrived in Australia on Saturday and is reported to be in fantastic condition.

The other horses under $20 in the 20120 Caulfield Cup betting market at bookmaker.com.au are Newcastle Cup winner Glencadam Gold, Italian import Voila Ici, 2011 Melbourne Cup winner Dunaden and Hill Stakes winner Lamasery.

You can find the updated 2012 Caulfield Cup betting market at bookmaker.com.au.

bookmaker.com.au is giving new customers up to $400 in free bets which they can be split into four smaller bets , giving you even more chances to back a winner at their great fixed odds.

2012 Caulfield Cup Odds After Third Acceptances

Forty-one horses remain in the hunt for the 2012 Caulfield Cup after third acceptances were taken yesterday leading to some major changes in Caulfield Cup odds.

Gai Waterhouse-trained Glencadam Gold has been heavily backed after his impressive victory in the Group 1 Metropolitan Handicap (2400m) at Randwick on Saturday and is now at odds of $4.50 at bookmaker.com.au.

The six-year-old was allocated a 2kg weight penalty by Racing Victoria chief handicapper Greg Carpenter and is now guaranteed a start in the world’s richest 2400m race.

The imported gelding will now be ridden by two-time Caulfield Cup winning jockey Jim Cassidy who replaces rising Sydney jockey Tommy Berry.

Glencadam Gold is followed in 2012 Caulfield Cup betting markets by December Draw.

The imported stayer has been in consistent form in 2012, finishing third in the Underwood Stakes (1800m) and Turnbull Stakes (2000m).

December Draw is currently priced at $9 in the Caulfield Cup betting market.

The Caulfield Cup odds of Lloyd Williams-owned Seville were slashed after his impressive run behind Green Moon in the Turnbull Stakes.

The son of Galileo hit the line well and looked as though he will be perfectly suited to the 2400m of the Caulfield Cup.

2011 Caulfield Cup winner Southern Speed has drifted in Caulfield Cup betting markets after her disappointing performance in the Turnbull Stakes.

The Southern Image mare was one of the first horses’ beaten and finished fifteenth out of sixteen runners.

She is now available at odds of $18 at bookmaker.com.au.

French duo Americain and Dunaden are coming along nicely in the TAB International Horse Centre at Werribee with both expected to contest the Caulfield Cup.

Dunaden’s jockey Craig Williams is extremely confident about his mounts chances in Saturday week’s race and went as far as saying the son of Nicobar was a better chance of winning the Caulfield Cup than the Melbourne Cup.

Dunaden is priced at $14 in the Caulfield Cup betting market at bookmaker.com.au.

2014 Caulfield Cup Attracts 221 Nominations

A talented field of 221 runners have been nominated for an appearance in the featured Group 1 Caulfield Cup (2400m) on October 18th, highlighted by an impressive combination of Australian Group 1 champions and high-performing international stayers. As expected, kiwi trainer Donna Logan has confirmed a return trip to Australia for champion mare Rising Romance, nominating the 2014 Oaks winner for the 2014 Caulfield Cup.

Performing to a particularly high standard over what was her maiden racing preparation, Rising Romance was a standout runner in major events in New Zealand over late 2013; winning the Listed Trevor Eagle Memorial (1500m) on November 30th before running a credible fourth in the Group 2 Eight Carat Classic (1600m) on Boxing Day.

Hitting peak condition this year, the Ekraar mare won the Group 2 Royal Stakes (2000m) on January 1st and finished second to fellow Caulfield Cup nominee Puccini in both the Group 2 Avondale Guineas (2100m) and Group 1 New Zealand Derby (2400m).

Finishing fourth in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) upon first arriving in Australia on April 5th, Rising Romance charged home to win the Group 1 Australian Oaks (2400m) by more than a length last time out.

Understandably thrilled with the continually building form and class of the four-year-old, Logan has also nominated Rising Romance for the 2014 Cox Plate, whom currently features as equal-favourite in early markets for the 2014 Caulfield Cup at a generous quote of $15 with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au alongside Gai Waterhouse-trained gelding The Offer.

A standout performer over the 2014 Autumn Carnival, The Offer overcame a disappointing run for sixth in the Australian Turf Club 3.y.o+ (1400m) first-up with a strong performance for third in the Listed Randwick City Stakes (2000m) on March 15th.

Returning to the winner’s circle just a fortnight later when claiming the Group 3 NE Manion Cup (2400m) by close to four lengths, The Offer more than stakes his claims as a serious Cups contender through spring when winning both the Group 2 Chairman’s Handicap (2600m) and Group 1 Sydney Cup (3200m) in succession most recently.

Three horses currently share the second line of betting at $17 in early markets for the 2014 Caulfield Cup following the release of nominations of Tuesday; KirramosaLa Amistad and Lucia Valentina.

Contesting an impressive record of four wins and one minor place from just eight starts, Kirramosa debuted to racing in the early stages of 2013 with a victory in the Fire N Ice Refrigeration Maiden (1200m) before finishing a fighting fourth in the Group 1 Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m) abroad in New Zealand.

A standout performer over the 2013 spring carnival, Kirramosa finished fourth in the Become An ATC Sponsor 3.y.o (1200m) and continued to build in form and class on her way to back-to-back victories in the Group 2 Wakeful Stakes (2000m) and Group 1 Crown Oaks (2500m) in November.

A standout performer of the in-form Team Hawkes stables, La Amistad has returned to racing in exceptional form this season, claiming three consecutive victories in her three most recent starts, including the Listed WJ McKell Cup (2400m) on May 24th.

A New Zealand import, Lucia Valentina began her racing career under the guidance of trainer Stephen Marsh before transferring to the care of Kris Lees at the begging of the year.

Finishing third in the Group 2 Surround Stakes (1400m) first-up, the Savabeel mare appeared out of her depth when twelfth in the Group 1 Coolmore Classic (1500m) on March 22nd, but responded in the best way possible when charging home to win the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) just a fortnight later.

Running on for third in the Oaks last time out, Lees is confident the recent form Lucia Valentina has displayed in work will translate well to a spring campaign geared towards the Caulfield Cup.

Representing exceptional early value, champion British stayer Mukhadram is one of 44 international nominees for the 2014 Caulfield Cup and is currently available at incredible $101 odds.

Claiming four wins and six places from his 14 starts to date, Mukhadram has returned to racing in exceptional form this year, finishing fourth in the Group 1 Prince Of Wales Stakes (2011m) first-up before winning the Group 1 Coral-Eclipse (2018m) by more than two lengths on July 5th.

2014 Caulfield Cup Third Declarations & Odds

Racing Victoria today released third declarations for the Caulfield Cup 2014 with 41 hopefuls still in the mix for the October 18 classic at Caulfield Racecourse. Worth a record $3 million in prizemoney this year, the Group 1 Crown Golden Ale Caulfield Cup (2400m) is shaping up as a crack showdown between a host of local and international stayers with seven raiders still in the mix.

The shortest priced of the international Caulfield Cup horses in the latest Caulfield Cup odds at Ladbrokes.com.au is Japanese raider Bande paying $7.50.

Japan will be dually represented in this year’s Caulfield Cup field too with Admire Rakti ($15) also set to make his Australian debut in the race, the pair heading towards the $6.2 million Group 1 Melbourne Cup (3200m) at Flemington on the first Tuesday of November.

Other notable international Caulfield Cup third acceptors include Group 1 performed UK mare My Ambivalent ($11) who will get in at a nice weight and the Marco Botti-trained Dandino ($15).

Dandino was runner-up behind Fawkner in last year’s Caulfield Cup and also finished fifth to Fiorente in the Melbourne Cup last spring so the bookies are keeping him safe in betting again in 2014.

The all-in Caulfield Cup odds at Ladbrokes meanwhile are led by Lucia Valentina ($5.50) out to become the first mare to win since Southern Speed in 2011.

Kris Lees’ Savabeel four-year-old earned her top spot in the markets after a nice start to the season with two wins from three starts this time in, most recently in the Group 1 Turnbull Stakes (2000m) at Flemington last Saturday.

That was her second Group 1 win as she also took out the Vinery Stud Stakes over the same distance in Sydney as a three-year-old in the autumn.

Chris Waller also has a strong hand in the Caulfield Cup third declarations with seven from his four time Sydney premiership winning stables.

His best fancied is Who Shot Thebarman at $11 who won the Group 3 The Bart Cummings in Melbourne over the weekend and has winning form over the two miles being an Auckland Cup winner back in New Zealand.

Also in the mix for Waller are the likes of Junoob and Opinion who ran one-two in the Group 1 The Metropolitan (2400m) over the same distance at Randwick on the weekend.

His other Group 1 Sydney winner form last Saturday, Epsom Handicap champ He’s Your Man meanwhile is a $41 Caulfield Cup chance but dropped out of Melbourne Cup contention with first acceptances for the world’s richest handicap also closing today.

Also paying $11 along with Who Shot Thebarman is Dear Demi for Clarry Conners, the mare finishing a close third in the Caulfield Cup last spring before her second in the Mackinnon during the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

Other notable Caulfield Cup third acceptors include ATC Oaks winning New Zealand mare Rising RomanceGai Waterhouse’s Sydney Cup champ The Offer who is favourite for the Melbourne Cup next month, Marco Botti’s other hopeful Seismos coming off a Geoffrey Freer Stakes win at Newbury, John Sargent’s Crown Oaks winner Kirramosa and light weight chance Stipulate.

See below for the latest Caulfield Cup acceptances and odds.

The 2014 Caulfield Cup field is due out on Tuesday October 14.
